Burbank on a busy morning -- this highly detailed urban scene is close-up to our visitors for easy viewing. Visits are free and occur from 7 to 10 the first Monday night of each month. Our oldest member (since 1949) drives a gold Cadillac like this to the club each week. Why are all those ladies hanging around on the front porch? Maybe it is a temperance meeting. Kathy's Korner Diner. The Athearn factory. Backyard weiner roast. Interchange pickup. Forecourt of the Los Angeles Union Passenger Terminal. Passenger trains load underneath the building on our layout.

The tower at Burbank Junction. Here our main line models the Southern Pacific Railroad and branches between Taylor Yard (freight) and Glendale Station (passenger). Signals at Burbank Junction. Late evening at downtown Burbank. Old Tin Lizzies in Burbank. Railside industry. You always wondered what happened to the Weinermobile, didn't you? Glendale station. Unloading at Glendale Station.

Burbank traffic. Bulls in Burbank. Old trailer by the tracks. The Batmobile. The concrete plant. Stairway to Paradise (if you have low expectations). Circus train. New iron for the road. Slip switch. Photos by Larry Kedes. |
